It is colorless transparent prism or spicule or granular crystalline powder, odorless.Heptahydrate: The relative density is 1.957. Melting point is 100℃. It’s easily soluble in water and aqueous solution is acidic to litmus. It’s slightly soluble in ethanol and glycerin. The monohydrate will loses water at temperatures above 238℃; The Heptahydrate will be effloresced slowly in the dry air at room temperature.
